Try an Electric Cargo Bike in Leeds

Looking for a greener, more affordable and family-friendly way to get around the city? Leeds City Council is giving families the opportunity to trial an electric cargo bike for free for up to three months.

Whether it’s the school run, shopping trips, nursery drop-offs or weekend days out, electric cargo bikes offer a practical and fun alternative to everyday car journeys, helping families travel more sustainably while staying active.

Why Try an E-Cargo Bike?

Electric cargo bikes are designed to make family travel easier, safer and more convenient. Benefits include:

  • Save money on fuel and parking
  • Reduce emissions and improve local air quality
  • Avoid traffic on short local journeys
  • Carry children, shopping and everyday essentials with ease
  • Enjoy a healthier and more active way to travel

With electric assistance, hills and longer journeys feel much more manageable, even when carrying extra passengers or cargo.
